Location: Bellahøj, CPH

Area/size: 9.500 m2 landscape

Status: Under construction

The renovation of Bellahøj School has just begun, and in for that reason the project was featured in an article in KBH Magazine. Kragh & Berglund is responsible for renovating the schoolyard and landscape, and KANT Architects and EFFECT Architects are the building architects.

The landscape project ties the school together and creates a connection between the “new” and the “existing”. It features a “movement delta” as an organic blue lane, which merges the school’s outdoor spaces into one big activity- and learning landscape. Here you’ll find both running lanes, playing fields, seating areas and places for exhibitions for visual arts.

Bellahøj School has special focus on movement, sport and health, and the children themselves have helped shaping their new school. We have worked closely with students from the University of Southern Denmark, who have done workshops with the children, to make their wishes and ideas into the very foundation of the project.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, and we’re looking forward to seeing the results!
