Place: Ringsted, Denmark
Area: 6,000 m²
Status: Project proposal 2006 – not realized.
The concept of the living area is to have a sequence of terraces, which have different levels all through the site. The terraces area has different types of pavement, grass, reinforced grass and concrete. The parking lot is lowered to separate the residential area from the parking lot. The terraces form sitting steps, and have different functions like playgrounds, for garden seats and for other residential activities. All the rectangular squares are connected with a grass landscape with varied grass and bamboos. The vegetation is lush and sculptural, with for instance pines and pseudoacacie. The vegetation contrasts the regular buildings and terraces. Lower areas with marsh vegetations collect the rainwater.
