Spiktorget creates new values in an urban space through simple scenic, landscape architectural effects. An anonymous disconnected street space is changed into an attractive urban space with a clearly unique character and function. The surface is treated through a discrete topography where slight depressions and different materials create varies zones. The zones separate the functions for traffic and parking. Like this new rooms for social and physical activities in connection with the youth activity house are created. Lighting in the form of fibre-glass bubbles hang as small clouds between the housing areas where they create connection and define the limits of the space. During summer and winter the place is changed by the use of water as an active medium which attracts and changes the space physically and creates activity.
