ORBICON

Working with nature, the landscape around Orbicon’s new headquater creates attractive, green sorroundings for the workplaces in the building. Using nature and rainwater as design tools, Kragh&Berglund has created a natural and accommodating landscape, when arriving to Orbicon.

Nature has moved very close to the building and, in interaction with the building, forms small pockets for living. Looking at nature brings quality all the way into the accounts. The car park is located at the far end of the plot, which is thus shielded by the green landscape. Bridges across rainwater basins and ditches form a natural arrival flow for staff and visitors.

A WORKPLACE WITH A VIEW

A low-tech LAR solution has been achieved through the quotation of mulches and ditches. The cultivation of the terrain leads the water to the lowest points on the plot where there will be a great delay and seepage. It is estimated that there will only very rarely be overflows to the public rainwater pipeline.
