SKURU BRIDGE

The Skuru Bridge of the future not only serves as a crucial link for car traffic to the expansive Nacka and Värmdö. The Skuru Bridge of the future also fulfills an important function in the local landscape, both as a new visual landmark that humbly interacts with the existing Skuru Bridge, but also as a destination that encourages activity and recreation.
The wild landscape that surrounds the bridge grabs its arch and spreads over it. This creates an extension of the surrounding natural and cultural landscape in the form of an attractive park that links Skuruparken with the eastern side of the strait.

CoNNECTIONS FOR CARS, PEOPLE, FLORA, AND FAUNA

At the same time, the new park adds extraordinary value to the area with its architectural quality, its magnificent viewpoints and many activities and places to stay. From a distance, the bridge is perceived as a cohesive landscape that stretches across Skurusundet. Closer you meet a park that is full of variety, features and activity.
