Together with Odsherred Municipality, Kragh Berglund has revitalized Vig’s main street, Vig Hovedgade, with a strong emphasis on pedestrian and cyclist safety, as well as respect for the city’s existing character and identity.

The existing street lighting has been preserved, and the paving at Torvepladsen has been carefully redesigned. The old monastery stones have been reused in a new pattern, combined with light grey granite setts to create a harmonious and contemporary surface.

The sidewalks have been preserved, while the road composition along Vig Hovedgade and the paving at Torvepladsen have both been reused.
Reusing materials is beneficial for both the climate and the economy. For Vig Hovedgade, this approach allows the construction budget to be maintained at a low level, amounting to 3 200 000 dkk for 3000 m² – equivalent to 1067 dkk/m².

Kragh Berglund has also developed a nature-focused project in Vig Mose, a protected wetland area within Vig Nature Park.
The project improves accessibility and connectivity around Vig Mose for all visitors. A combination of boardwalks and gravel paths now encircles the wetland, complemented by new recreational zones. These interventions make it easier to explore the area while preserving its ecological integrity.

Boardwalks have been installed across the wettest sections, allowing visitors to experience the open water surface. The southern boardwalk includes a platform for rest and contemplation.

Inspired by the local initiative Liv i Mosen (“Life in the Bog”), the project aims to create a safe and welcoming environment around Vig Mose. Accessibility for all, regardless of mobility, has been a guiding principle.

Together with the boardwalk and platform, a new area with grill and shelter contributes to recreational features that bring people closer to the wetland and enhances the overall experience.
