PLUG N' PLAY

Ørestaden was in 2008 facing media coverage giving the area a bad reputation. Kragh&Berglund won the competition having to create a
temporary urban space in Ørestad Syd, where focus had to be on creating communities, city life and positive attention.  The area was completed as a temporary urban space in 2006 and as planned it was closed in 2016 for new urban development to continue.

A TEMPORARY GENERATOR OF URBAN LIFE

Plug N' Play was Copenhagen's new laboratory for movement in urban space. It was an activity park with predominantly sport activities, built after the philosophy to be able to plug different temporary activities on existing infrastructure where water, electricity, and storage space is already there. The goal was to regenerate city life in the new urban area.
