Today Skuru park representative edition and by a natural way to connect the bridge to the stresses to the major historical and natural values found in the park.
The landscape of the bridge is designed as an abstraction of Skuru Arkens landscape. It imitates Skuru Arkens habitats, where some of the country’s most original habitats are found. This creates the potential to illuminate the special natural and cultural values shaped Skuru park for centuries. Skuru Bridge establishes therefore a natural transition between Skuru Arken’s long history and the future development of the area.
Vegetation zones follows the bronze level differences and the different light conditions created. It takes account of the shadowing effect of motos road alignment above, but also reflective water effect and the open position created along with bronze southern side. The result is a diverse but coherent landscape and a unique environment with high recreational value. The vegetation is given the freedom to develop dynamically over time, in interaction with the varying light, shadow and wind conditions that shape bronze different vegetation zones. It is seen as a quality that allow transitions between the different zones to be gentle to create a holistic experience in the movement of the bridge.
The bridge connects on an extensive trail system on both sides. In the West creates a natural connection to Skuru park and its high recreational value, giving visitors access to it without having to cross heavily trafficked roads. On the eastern side is proposed trails leading through to residential and Eknäs Björknäs and makes the area around bronze landing more accessible.
A ramp zigzags across the bronze bow and makes it available for strollers, bicycles and wheelchairs. By being consistent in its ascent stands in good interaction with the arc geometry. At the same time it acts as a structuring element in which different functions on the bridge will be all right. A system of stairs creates shortcuts and subsistence opportunities across the bridge.
Adjacent to the trail system placed a number of functions that plays on the surrounding area’s natural qualities and traces of demand from residents in the area. While aiming the new Skuru bridge to bring something unique to the area with the opportunity to meet the recreational value both for their local area and to lift it to a regional destination.
The east side of the bridge plays upon a more urban tale where the marina berth wraps up over the bridge and turns in its coating. A new clubhouse creates a new meeting place and bronze forecourt consists of a parkour and skatepark that utilizes both bronze and landscape topography to create a living space activity through interaction with its environment. Activity area makes today a meeting place for students from Björknäs school.
Along with bronze landscape are strikes in the form of resting places and vantage points.
Bronze highest point is an extraordinary vantage point. It is right above Skurusundet with a view over the strait and the surrounding landscape. It opens you up the bridge structure with holes that create transparency and inviting light into the intimate space of the arc peak. Along the trail system places also a nature playground and an exercise station.
The coating which zigzags up the bridge has a uniform expression of light concrete. It uses an elongated module that follows the bronze topography. The stairs are in the same material and provide a cohesive system that naturally flows over the bow and interact with bronze construction. At the function places like skate and parkour place coating passes in situ cast concrete.
The vegetation takes on the basis of a grid extending over the bridge. It works with dynamic vegetation with large seasonal changes and great qualities in both field layer shrub and tree layers.
The lower part of the bridge consists of an extension of the hardwood forest that surrounds den. Expression is lush and well-developed tree shrub and field layer creates dynamic vegetation. It then goes into more hardy mixed forests where pine and fir gästspelar. Trees migrating towards the top to the lower, wind and shade tolerant trees capable exposed locations. Species that mountain pine and heather gives a barren expression.
Towards the top the vegetation gets a windswept expression characterized by grass that pushes through predominantly hard coating.
The vegetation follows the bronze structure and will be developed progressively in the interaction with the plant conditions at the site. This lowers the level of care and provides vivid and expressive vegetation.
Storm water from the motorway bridge is led by construction the columns into the landscape bronze plant stock. Here it is distributed all over the plant surface, accounting for irrigation of vegetation. While filtered water the plants and when it reaches ground level purified the final and headed out into the strait.
