Dyvekeskolen is located in Amager, the southern area of Copenhagen. As a part of the process if renovating the schools in Copenhagen, leaded by the Child and Youth Administration and Copenhagen Properties development, Kragh & Berglund have been in charge redesign Dyvekeskolen with focus on play and rainwater. The renovation was to include a sustainable solution, regarding the green profile of the school, the existing landscape and the classic building from the 70’s.

Kragh & Berglund have successfully redesigned the outdoors areas and rooms with focus on play and learning. The existing topography have been used for collection of stormwater management which then leads the water out through sustainable and climate-protected runoff system, while the water collected in other areas of the schoolyard create opportunities for play, teaching and recreation.
